WHERE Did This Come From??

Please help me here. I'm a HUGE Peter Bogdanovich fan (even loved NICKELODEON). I live in Texas and until just shortly before this posting I never even knew there WAS a sequel to TO SIR WITH LOVE! The original was important for its' time and I've always loved not only for that... but just because I love it! But, OMG - PLEASE, PLEASE how in this world can there be a sequal to it that 1) I've never heard of until just now, 2) None of my OTHER friends know anything about it (though they are Bogdanovich fans, as well) and 3) That apparently is just awful! Does anyone know if it was a foreign country ONLY distribution or something??

This was a 1996 U.S. TV movie, and has also been released on VHS in the UK (since deleted).

I just joined the club (2 years after you!). I just found this movie on cable the other night and was surprised that there was a sequel. I have looked at Sidney Poiter's bio before and don't recall seeing the movie credit, even though I'm sure I just missed it.

Huh? There's a club???

It's an expression. Haven't you ever heard anyone say, "Join the club"?
Well, I just joined your club. It required not having any previous knowledge that the movie To Sir, with Love II, ever existed.

Okay! I guess I join the club, too! (Though I still don't have the slightest idea what you're all talking about!)

I've just joined as well, albeit a very latecomer. Found this on DVD yesterday.
Not as good as the original, but it will do.

Love is never having to say you're sober.

I was VERY surprised to read on this post that their was a sequel to To Sir With Love. I found it on Movies Unlimited and I just order it. I'm very anxious to see it.

Bogdanovich was a respected author of books about movies and a critic before directing. He was able to talk Ben Johnson into doing The Last Picture Show (with help from John Ford, who he'd written about) and he probably was able to assure Sidney that he would do everything in his power to make this sequel a high quality movie.
