If they made this film today, who would they cast?
shareBrad Pitt as David Johnston is the most obvious recast, but he's 50 now and that's too old -- I think both David and Roy are supposed to be about 35-38.
Chris Pine as Roy and Chris Evans as David would probably work. They're both about 33. Pine can play the kinda-slobbish disheveled type of guy Roy has to be.
As far as who could do Romeo, Carlos Mencia could probably step into the role. He's mid-40s (Cheech was 49 when he did the original IIRC).
Kate Mara would probably be good as Molly.

David - Sullivan Stapleton
Romeo - I think Gabriel Iglesias would actually be hilarious in this role or George Lopez
Molly - I hate to say it but J Law would actually be a really good fit for this one. I actually thought Kate Mara as well.
