Does anyone know how this english title came about? It seems like it is a take from the Mazursky film Enemies:A Love Story.

Because the time when the protagonist & the heroine left China, Mainland Chinese still commonly addressed each other as comrade. And in the movie, Li Qiao teasingly called Li XiaoJun "comrade" several times.
