Michael Wong. Scottish?

I loved this movie. But Michael Wong's acting didn't work for me. I think that the director did a terrible job with Michael Wong's acting. The script was way off also on Ted, Michael Wong's role.

Shouldn't Ted's English have been Scottish accented, not American? In fact, there was nothing Scottish at all in Michael's aura. His voice was flat the entire film. It was hard to believe that Kelly's character fell for Ted hard enough to hire an investigator to find Ted. I've done that. It was an obsession.

The only sypathetic moment was Ted's smile on the bluff in Scotland. Even then, the staging was cliched and the storyline was predictable. The only thing that saved this crucial moment was Takeshi's and Kelly's hug. Sigh. Two beautiful people no longer alone.

Kelly and Takeshi were great. Ted was in a different film, and not a very good one. There were other problems with the movie. I ended up giving a 9 to the film because the excellent parts made up for the weak ones.
