I Thought it was interesting that she went along with the coverup - and how the filmmakers refused to turn her into a villain or even a guilt-ridden mess because of it. You rarely see that kind of thing in movies.

My wife and I just watched this movie and she points out that she was trying to kill Billy even before the entire Gypsy thing happened. Why would she stock the house full of junk food like she did when she knows her husband is morbidly obese? Hoping that he would eat himself to death. Collect the life insurance check and marry the Doctor with the Porsche.
