Anyone own the soundtrack?

It's great to hear full versions of songs like "Mr. Downtown" & "My World is Over", plus bonus songs like "Drive Faster" by the Vicksburgs!

Yeah, we bought that soundtrack back when the movie first came out. It's a very nice disc overall, except for the last track, which is the title song played "live". It's the same track with canned crowd mixed over the track. They didn't even alter the tempo or add a bit of reverb. There had to be many different versions recorded for the movie during the recording sessions; they could have used one of those and "livened" it up.

Other than that, good soundtrack.

The "live" track is definitely different from the "studio" track. I can't remember if the vocals or guitars are different, but the drums are definitely different. Cooler fills.

Also, the bass is different (partly due to the new bass player in the movie; they realistically gave it a better, updated bass part).

I haven't compared the tracks to see if the vocals are different. I just wanted to say that they are not the same, just with some applause.

Its a different mix, alot heavier sounding. Also of note is the fact that it sounds like they are playing to a jam packed arena and not a television studio audience. I guess the engenier or mixer thought it sounded better?

I don't own it, but I've been streaming it on my Napster sub. It's probably on others such as Spotify or Apple Music.
