How good is this? (spanish horror films!)

Well, I have recently watched [REC] and El Orfanato and both became two of my favourite horror movies EVER! The stories are much clever and the films in itself are a lot scarier (and more credible as well). I kind of despise Hollywood movies nowadays (all they want is money...), and I've really been into Spanish and Asian films... Ahah, and I've been turning a lot of my friends too. =D Oh, and El laberinto del Fauno is probably my favourite film ever.
I've heard about this film, and the plot really does sound interesting! =D
So, would you say it is worth my time? How disturbing is it? (bonus points if it's really disturbing)

AND what other spanish horror movies would you recommend?

Thanks for answering, in advance. ;)

I like it quite good. I liked the story and i think it was suspenseful film. It got some good twists also.

Some snuff films they watch may be disturbing to you. If you want the best version with best picture quality, i suggest you to buy the Spanish dvd which i did.

Another Spanish horror may like is, The Nameless. I didn`t personally like very much. It looked a promising by reading the plot but, i think too little happend and became boring.

Tesis is quite bad imho. Boring. Slow like hell. Without any tension. Characters are not interesting and actions performed by them are unrealistic or just dumb. Screenplay is too choppy, it sometimes makes no sense. Director is trying to mislead as as much as he can, but he failes. Ending is quite obvious. The idea for this movie was good, but writer fu*ked up. Hard to believe it's Amenabar. But I agree, spanish horror movies are getting better each year. Check all movies by Jaume Balagueró - some good flicks. You can also check a tv series Películas para no dormir. Some good, some really awful, but worth checking. And of course, non Hollywood Guillermo del Toro movies.

IMO, Tesis is not actually a horror film, it's a psychological film dealing with some scary themes. The point of the film is MORBIDITY. How Ángela claims to hate violence but how she is attracted to it without wanting to accepting it. E.g.: when she wants to look at the man on the train tracks, when she covers her eyes while watching snuff but looks out through her fingers, when she looks at the screen only when Chema warns her not to...
And besides, let's not be hypocrites, a thesis needs lots of hours of work, no one would write one on a topic they don't really like. The ending is very revealing too ***NO SPOILERS AHEAD*** -- everyone in the hospital leaves their cutlery and leans forward when the news conductor says the images they are about to see may be disturbing.

Yeah true...it does have some scary parts but it's primarily a psychological-cum-murder mystery plot...the suspense really keeps you on the edge of the seat.. direction and acting were also top notch..and I agree with some of the posters here, I have really come to admire Spanish cinema, especially the mystery/thriller genres are way more gripping than those in other movie industries...

PS: I think IMDB should allow fractional ratings...I want to rate this one 8.3-8.4 but that's not possible so will give it 8... 9 is the maximum rating I give to a movie if it's a masterpiece (when I actually want to rate them 9.1 to 9.8)...

This is the best Spanish horror movie I've ever seen. Its not the scariest but the most entertaining and satisfying.

The Nameless was so boring. Zzzzzzz.
