So I heard through the rumor mill this might be the last summer for the T2:3D attraction, at least for Universal Studios Hollywood. It sure would be sad to see it go, but I have to admit the attraction is really showing it's age. I would really hope they do like they did with the Back to the Future attraction footage and include it on a future blu-ray/DVD release. I know I'm going to visit as much as I can up until then, I hope other fans do the same.

Well i just went to universal back in summer of 2013 and it was still open, but not as many people went like i remember back in 05 just like the twister ride. Also they revamped back to the future ride now its the simpsons ride.

There are no foreseeable plans at either the Universal Orlando Resort
(Universal Studios Florida) or Universal Studios Japan location to replace T2:3D, especially considering the 2015 release of Terminator: Salvation trilogy.

There have been possible rumors of 'refurbing' (industry lingo for renovating and updating) the attractions for the upcoming Terminator: Salvation trilogy, but who knows what, and even if, that will happen.
