Gone from Universal Studios Hollywood.

Old news, but yeah, they replaced it with a Despicable Me ride. As a 25 year-old LA local I have been going to Universal my whole life (never been to the one in Florida) and have seen first hand that after a decade, sometimes a little more, they get rid of a ride and replace it with something up to date.

Kinda sucks they can't just add MORE rides without taking the previous one out, but it is sharing land with a movie studio and all these years the park itself never got bigger.

I remember when they replaced the spectacular E.T. ride with a mummy ride in 2003. The mummy ride is awesome without question, but E.T. is GONE :(.

Another local, and current annual pass holder here. Yeah it's too bad they really don't have the space to expand without having to take something else out. If that golf course on the lower lot ever sells, they sure could improve on that. I really miss T2:3D. It was fun meeting the cast at the behind the scenes shows, and some of which I've become friends with, and I was even at the final performance to pay my respects.

By the way, been to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter yet? It's really quite an immersive and amazing place, and has thus far restored my faith in Universal's future.

Wow. I never met any of the cast members and haven't been to the last show of T2:3D. Wish I did. Still no Harry Potter yet :(. not a big HP fan, but still wanna see it. Might go next weekend!

Now I wanna go after reading what you said.

They would sometimes hold a behind the scenes show(similarly to the way Water World does) after some of the shows for front of the line pass holders. Although if you stay even without one, they usually will let you without a fuss. They would show off some of the props used in the show, and would demonstrate how the motorcycle comes out from behind the screen wall. Then they would hold a Q&A to ask the performers questions. It's funny, some of the Kimberley Duncan actresses would also play Sarah Connor on occasion. In a dark auditorium, it's hard to notice that some of the Sarah's had blonde hair.

Someone from Inside Universal was kind enough to record the final performance!

One of the actors afterwards said that due to the crowds cheering throughout the show, a few of them could barely even hear their cues!

I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter either. I've seen all the movies, but only read one or two of the books. It's still really fun regardless, and the details with everything in the land are spot on. Even the restrooms in there have Moaning Myrtle tormenting guests trying to use the restroom. And the Butterbeer drink is amazing. A bit of a sugar rush, but the frozen version is really, really good! If you go, have fun and please let me know what you thought of it. :)
