The biggest problems with Bordello of Blood, I welcome your opinions!

I've seen Every single episode of Tales from the Crypt and I am a huge fan of the series, although season 7 was an unacceptable bunch of episodes that were boring, predictable and a huge let down, Demon Knight was a damn good film in general and a PERFECT adaptation of Tales from the Crypt, this sequel had alot of problems that I can name but I will try to keep it to the few basic problems I noticed, 1 is the beginning, they obviously didn't have anything great written and presented for the Crypt Keeper opening, which was a huge flaw for this film, if the Crypt Keeper doesn't get you into the vibe for a great story then I don't know what will, another huge problem was the casting for this film and the biggest problem was the writing for the characters, not so much the plot or ideas, but the casting and the character writing, but this is just my problem, Dennis Miller wasn't a bad idea at all for this, but I've got a theory that when you cast a professional comedian that you should give them a lot of free reign to improvise and write their own dialogue, I don't get the vibe that Dennis Miller improvised and/or wrote his own character's dialogue, maybe i'm wrong, maybe Miller wasn't a great idea but I don't know the whole scenario here, but perhaps something went wrong along the way because I have read numerous things about Dennis Miller burning this film experience immediately in interviews, which probably did nothing but hurt this film's chances of success, another possible reason this film failed was not enough time spent in between Demon Knight and Bordello of Blood, this film does feel rushed, this film overall feels like it would have been a great 30 minute episode, but it was a milked idea overall.
there are GREAT ideas and themes involved in this film, but the execution was not very good, I don't know what the major problem was that caused this from being a great film, perhaps the casting, perhaps the direction, but overall the writing has to be at fault. im interested in your OPINIONS...

I know it's like 18 months too late, and I think you make some valid points.

My biggest problem is that you need to learn how to use the enter key and punctuation. it is extremely difficult to read a post like yours because IMDB has small text and it just becomes a "wall"

it's too bad really, you made some excellent points and I hope that you have gotten better in the past 18 months in including some breaks to your statements. It's pretty much 100% why nobody ever responded to it. Which is again, just a shame because it would have made for an interesting discussion. But being borderline unreadable, well.... there's a reason nobody ever responded.

I say this out of kindness to help you improve getting your ideas across, I am not trying to be insulting. But look at the difference between my post (very legible) and yours (a wall of text with no breaks, no punctuation, jumping from topic to topic like Frogger.) Again, 18 months late, but wish I had seen it sooner because you really did bring up some great points.

One issue that I realized later on was that while MCCutchen was in the morgue, there is a knock at the door.
He wonders to himself "who the devil could that be??"

If the Cunningham wake normally has lots of people coming to the funeral home, why would he be surprised someone was knocking on the door at night? Especially because he didn't post a sign or anything, saying that the wake was closed, so of course he's going to have to answer the door!!

( it is pretty funny how he says : "Been so busy tonight!!")
