Susie Q (song) in the beginning of the film

I found out it's a song by Dale Hawkins, however, the song in the film is a different version, and I really like it but I cannot find it. I found an alternate version by Dale but it's not the one used in the movie. Anyone know who or how I can find that version of the song?

Thank you.

I think that the only difference is that they have the instrumental part of the song at the beginning and Dale Hawkins version begins with singing right away but, no, I can't find the movie version. It's such an underrated film.

musical flubs...the film begins in 1955,but the song SUSIE Q plays on 45 is the song SUSIE Q,which did'nt come out till 1957...also the label of the 45 they show her playing is the DECCO label and SUSIE Q by DALE HAWKINS was on CHECKER records...

I wonder if it could be the Credence Clearwater Revival version. I will have to pull out my disc of theirs that has the song on it and try and compare with the movie and see.

Yeah, I think its the Credence Clearwater version.

Either way, its a goof since the movie starts in 1955 and the song wasn't released until 1957.

Very good. But brick not hit back!

Not to mention the Creedence Clearwater Revival version wasn't released until 1968! But it still works.
