Worst Sports Movie I have Ever Seen

This movie is total trash.

I'm just wondering, how exactly did Rhea Perlman make the team winners? She knew nothing about basketball, the team admits it only won like 1 game the previous year, they never practice....All the sudden they just start winning gmaes?

This movie was devoid of all logic.
Its just horrible.

Yea, it was kinda weird how she knew nothing, but yet the team was winning games. But I still thought the movie was cute.

It's time to get live, it's time to represent lol...This movie is classic, forget the fact that it was about as unrealistic as you can get, I've got some good memories off watching this movie.

I also found it funny how Antwon Tanner was in Sunset Park and then Coach Carter almost ten years later, and looks pretty much exactly the same

In case you forgot the the team came together with the coach in the middle of the movie and taught her things about Basketball plus thru out the beginning she would read books so eventually she became a better coach. Maybe you should actually watch the entire movie before giving us a review on it.

I think this was a real good movie. They start winning games because they teach each other things. They teach her about basketball and she teaches them about believing in yourself and winning. It wasn't your typical sports movie where the under dog team ends up on top at the end. I actually like how they lost the championship game. To me that made it more realistic.

reply

Absolutely.

I love any sports movie where the stars lose in the end. Little Big League, Sunset Park, COMRADES OF SUMMER!!!! Sports isn't all about winning, especially at the HS level.

Yes, this was a great movie. I stumbled upon it on a free movie channel and felt robbed that it went under the radar. Well...under my radar! It's a forgotten treasuer. :)

I agree, they did the typical setup where all the players have a problem that they need to overcome, but they didn't address most of the problems. Andre thinks he Jordan, but he' not. This character is pretty forgettable. Busy is Terrible and shouldn't be playing, he was never taught any skills, he just got good. Drano has good shot but he's scared to shoot. How did he get over this? Shortys temper never gets any better.

The only person she positively affects is Butter. She gives him the speech about how the girls like him for him, so he doesn't have to impress them on the court.

In these type of you movies the formula of setup problems, and overcome them and win is pretty typical, it just doesn't feel earned in this movie.
