Stupid movie.

This is the #1 stupid movie I have EVER seen before. Actually, I only watched 10 minutes of the movie and then stopped it.

I rate the movie a 0. Who else thinks this movie sucked?

i think it is stupid. hence the title! but it's so stupid that it's hilarious.

Hail to thee oh, Lloyd.

Did you forget to turn off your brain. When you watch this movie it is imparitive that you turn your brain. You also need to do the same thing when you wach ethier of the Bill & Ted movie or Dude Where's my Car. They arn't anywhere neer as funny if give them even the slightest thought.

reply

this is the worst movie I've EVER seen... when I went to the cinema for seeing it, the people standed up and left the place before the movie finished (in fact they left at half-movie)... Oh, yes, it's stupid... the most stupid money I could spend.

reply

I would have stood up and left when I would have heard you rambling on in a full paragraph.

reply

"the people standed up and left"

With grammar like that you would have been a good addition to the cast. How old are you, 10? I'm not bashing young people, I'm only 17 myself, I'm just saying, if you're gunna bad-mouth a movie for being stupid, make sure you don't make a fool of yourself doing it.

And don't label me a perfectionist, it's not as if it was a simple misspell of a hard word or a typo. Also I never usually 'abuse' people like this, I just don't like when people try and be cool like that.

Hail to those who correct online grammar! (And I'm actually not joking, I really abhor bad online grammar.) Anyway, to the person who said this movie is appealing to the younger set—that's fine, you can go make your excuses about how you "liked this movie when I was six or seven." (I am aware that that is not a direct quotation.) But I'm 18 years old, and, I'll admit, I haven't watched this movie in years (but I do own it...on VHS...old school.), but the dialogue from this movie still cracks me up every time. And I'm not at all ashamed. It's so stupid it's brilliant. Favorite line is in the scene where the Chinese waiters are talking and one says, "It's not our battle to fight, Johnson. We have enough trouble getting soy sauce into these tiny packets!"

You're probably the type that doesn't get monty Python humor either, and just laugh 'cause it's become popular and everyone else is.

reply

Okay, I get, and love, and ador, and obsess over Monty Python, and I still didnt care for this movie. There were a few brilliant parts to it that I could see being Monty Python-ish, but the movie wasnt very good.

I remember seeing this movie when I was younger because I was a fan of the children's books of the same name. The movie works with the same mindset of the books, in that the family is really stupid.

The Stupids book series was written by Harry G. Allard, more famously known for his "Ms. Nelson" stories.

I don't know what more people could expect from children's literature.

i loved it when i was 6or 7 whenever it first came out. It's very funny to the little people(not midgets)

reply

I loved this movie! I give it a 10! It is called the stupids BECAUSE it is stupid! You can't watch this movie without having a smile on your face! How could you not like this movie?

reply

Good for you, you turned the movie off!

I thought it was hilarious! As has already been pointed out, you do not watch a movie called "The STUPIDS" and expect anything else...same goes for movies like "Dumb and Dumber"

It's well worth a watch just watch it with a view to it being funny and stupid!!

reply

how can you call it the #1 stupidest movie of all time when you didn't even watch it. I watched all of united 93 before I dubbed it a worthless piece of tripe and I wanted to turn it off throughout.

reply

I knew it would be a stupid movie (hence the title) but it was just ridicoulous. I hated this movie. And I LOVE stupid movies (ie Zoolander, Undercover Brother, etc)

When I dream on my own
I'm alone, but I ain't lonely

This film is indeed stupid, but it is absolutely hilarious! how can anyone not like this film? Behind Borat it made me laugh the most
I'm my own grandpa is the best song ever, and also i think the actors are great - you've got to be good at acting to pull off something as silly as this!

reply

Because the movie title isn't "Scarface", or "The Godfather", then people obviously wont think its good because those two movies are the pinnacle of anything cinematic these days and comedy is apparently just a piece of crap that nobody cares for.

I love this movie. I'm almost 17, and I still crack up. Gotta love Christopher Lee, especially how if you notice when he goes to the newspaper office, he's still glowing red like he was in his lair.

OH MY GOD THE DRIVE BEE!!

reply

Yes, the movie was stupid. But it was also funny. I thought I was in trouble when he walked out of his house and he has his stupid checklist that says to check things and to cross something off. Then I saw the decor of their house and the fact that they were laying upside down with the feet on the pillows. But the fact was, there are a lot of movies that are intended to be stupid. Popeye, PeeWee's Big Adventure, etc. They are just plain stupid and that's that. But I did laugh over him thinking like a bush and I laughed over the wigs that she stuck all over her body to hide from the police. It's something that you watch when you are feeling down. Hey, I watch the Monkees.

How the hell can you like Zoolander but hate The Stupids? Zoolander was a piece of trash. It's like they didn't even try. The Stupids had some good sequences AND good one liners.

"Actually it's pronounced Lloyd"
"All these years we've been saying it wrong"

"Lets, give it to the fat guy"

I saw this movie as a caricature, or satire of virtually any other serious film with similar plotlines. I mean, look at the final sequence, with all the "bad" guys running around like chooks without heads, while the "good" guys carelessly walk about. It was ridiculous (of course).

All in all, I had a good laugh, so it was worth it.
