This is a sequel?

This is a sequel? What was the original called?

CHEETOS & BUGLES ARE SO MY AWESOME!

reply

Sometimes they come back.

Isn't it a trilogy?
There are three of these movies,
Sometimes they come back,
Sometimes they come back for more
And Sometimes they comeback again

which really confused me 'cause I though there were only two.

reply

It says in the notes up there... it is NOT a sequel... but more of a remake of his original ideas and the story.... just fyi.... haven't seen it yet.... comes on tonight at 1am....

"I'm sorry... my Karma just ran over your Dogma..."

reply

I wouldn't really call it a sequel or a remake.

More of a trilogy of 3 similiar films, but none of them really tie into the others.

reply

its the second in a trilogy.
sometimes they come back
sometimes they come back again and
sometimes they come back..for more

reply

Incorrect. "Sometimes they come back for more" is not the third in a trilogy and is completely unrelated to the other two. It was released in 1988, prior to the first "sometimes they come back and not at all related."

reply

Wrong, Sometimes They Come Back For More was released in 1998 (not 1988) after the other two and was intended as the third film in the series, despite the storyline being completely unrelated. Notice the title on the cover has the exact same font. It's obvious they gave it that title so people would see it but it's clearly a sequel in name only and has no other connection beyond that.

I've just watched about 20 minutes of it, about 10 minutes into the movie and I like it. I haven't watched much of Michael Gross' work other than the TV series 'Family Ties' but ..this movie is pretty good.

It might be typical of what is expected in a Stephen King kinda way, (not sure if this particular movie is actually related to his work, but seems like it) so it seems so far if you like horror this one is good.

Something else interesting, there is even a guy that appears to be mentally challenged that rides a lawnmower.....

(for those that know what that was all about)...

reply

YStorm,

Check out Michael Gross in the 'Tremors' series of films. Thats where he shines best!

reply

They reference the main character from the original film a couple times, but other than that this is a completely stand alone film.

I think I like this one a little more to be honest.
