Does Anybody Know If This Is Coming Out On DVD?
This was a great political movie. Why hasn't it been released on DVD?

shareWell, I've actually e-mailed the company that holds the distribution rights, the English Itv company. And for only 297 Pounds you could be the proud owner of a vhs or dvd of Some Mother's Son (only for private and personal use.

sharethe company that own the video publishing rights is not making any more copies and no dvd are to be produced there is an online vote though to get it put on dvd...the company that owns the rights says its too political.

it looks like a home made dvd. a vhs transfer.

I guess we'll have to play the waiting game for a proper DVD release...:-(

Is that *British Independent Television (itv)*?. I was thinking that it wasn't being released on dvd owing to it's political nature. However, "The Wind That Shakes The Barley" is just as political, if not moreso, than this movie is. So, I have to believe that it's for financial reasons more than anything at this point. Besides, it was released on vhs at one point and didn't seem to be a politicial issue at that time.
But I believe as it's promoted by people who want it on dvd that the studio with the copyright may hopefully think it worth their time (financially speaking that is), to release it on dvd. It's been ten years since it's release I believe, so perhaps they had better do it soon if they want an interest to remain in it's release on dvd.

Great film this I wish they would release it on dvd, they did it with the eddie murphy one that people were selling it on e bay, I think they realised there was money to be made.
