I am quite certain that many fictional action heroes who have logged as much screen time as Richard Sharpe have left an equally impressive, or even greater, number of corpses in their wake. Sharpe at least has the excuse of being a serving line officer during a long and bloody campaign against Napoleon, which culminates in the battle of Waterloo.
If you are looking for for a Guinness Book of Records entry, however, you might consider counting the number of times, in battle or out, that Richard Sharpe has kneed one of his opponents in the groin. When these occasions are enumerated and totaled, the number, I feel certain, will be impressive.
