I mean, seriously, Richard Sharpe's kill count in the books must be well into the thousands.
Really, if anyone has this information or has gone through every book and counted the number of lives lost to the remorseless killing machine that is Sharpe, post it, please.
problem is, in the books they sometimes talk about how Sharpe's mind kinda goes a little fuzzy just before a big killing spree and they dont exactly tell you how many he kills. thousands maybe, but that includes the sultan tippoos men that he killed blowing the mine during the attack on seringipatam. I'm not sure if he got any of the enemy when he blew up almeida in the peninsular campaign...try counting how many women he's slept with, it's alot easier

Um...you DO know it's fiction, right? There is not actually a "remorseless killing machine" named Richard Sharpe running around. And I have seen this post on each and EVERY Sharpe-related board on IMdB; you might want to bump up your dosage or something.
shareI too was getting irritated by Gooyers38's posting his request on every Sharpe-related board; so far I've spotted two replies giving estimates of 214 and 250. I'm tempted to add one of 278 (joke). Is he happy now? If it really means so much to him, he should work through the books and come up with his own estimate; then he could work though the films and come up with a figure from those.
Whatever is the figure, it will be inaccurate because we don't know how many Sharpe killed in his early army career, in the London slums as a civilian, or by firing into a mass of the enemy.
I think it's safe to say this. Sharpe himself if asked would say, "Not enough, because the man that'll kill me hasn't shown up yet!"
