He is in this movie for maybe 15 min. He is gone by 40 or 50 min of the movie.

As Stevie, the mentally slow "degenerate" brother, he's fabulous.
I've seen Christian's other performances, and once again, I can tell you that he's put on a new face. I find it utterly amazing how he finds new expressions for characters. As Stevie, he is innocent, easily frightened, and open. How a man with acting on his mind can blank himself out like that is beyond me.
Though he's on for brief scenes, he's got the pivotal role in the screenplay.
In every detail, a fantastic performance.

He was to do pretty much the same character two years later in "All the Little Animals". Again, this includes the heretofore patented "John Cusack slack jaw".

At least that movie included John Hurt and and Daniel Benzali, which is a quantum leap removed from Robin Williams. ( UGGHHH!! )

I really cant think of any reason whatsoever that would make this movie "worth getting". I just wasted an 1 1/2 hours of my life.

watched 50 minutes, now that I know there is no more Bale I will stop. Crappy film, Bale is so talented though.
