Do find it mildly amusing that "Velvet Goldmine" which also co-starred Christian Bale and Eddie Izzard, was the same year.
Of course, they never appeared in the same scene together, sadly.

Yes, very interesting. I actually just watched both films. I am a HUGE fan of Eddie Izzard and so he's the only reason why I watched both films. This one was much better than Velvet Goldmine [although I admit that seeing Ewan MacGregor naked is a plus XP] and I really liked Bob Hoskins role in it.
