Did Scary Movie ruin Scream?

I go back and forth on wondering if Scary Movie is responsible for making Scream not age well.

Honestly never cared for the Scary Movie films, Think I only watched the first.

The first is the best. But you should re-watch it. It is a great movie.

Both movies are leaders in there fields.
