Who did you think was the killer while first watching the movie?

I already knew that Matthew Lillard's character was a killer before I watched the movie because my friend spoiled it for me. I had no idea there was 2 killers, and Billy also being a killer was a big surprise to me, especially after he appeared to be stabbed to death. So who did you think was the killer while you were watching the movie for the first time?

Considering that it has been 19 years since I first saw the film, my memories of my first viewing are hazy. At best.

That having been typed, I always thought that it was Sid's dad (the car in the woods). Or the sheriff.

Dewey. I thought that he was getting revenge on everyone that made fun of him throughout the movie.

As I recall, I figured the killer was someone completely anonymous, ala Mrs. Voorhees in the original Friday The 13th, someone whom we didn't know the existence of at all until they were revealed at the end. (I didn't know or assume the killer was using a voice changer.)

randy

I hated Jaws, it had too much shark, and dont get me started about King Kong, waaay too much gorilla

I think I remember believing it was going to be Sidney's mom. The movie made such a big deal out of her death that I thought the twist was going to be she never really died all along and that she'd end up being the killer.

reply

In all honesty, I didn't really think about it. I was just enjoying all the references.

reply

I thought Ghostface was a ghost. When the twist was revealed I was in awe.

reply

I thought it was Stu but I didn't expect Billy thinking it would be too obvious

reply

i refuse to believe anyone knew it was billy (their first watching)
i think people just say that to sound "cool"

Unfortunately, the two killer reveal was already revealed to me long before I saw the movie. All the kids at school (who had not so strict parents) that had seen the film were talking about it and gave away all the details of the film, so when I saw it I knew exactly what was gonna happen. Still loved it then as I do now.

Don't put the devil in the picture, cause' the religious groups won't wanna see it.
