Why did they remove the 'Scream Queen' song?

I noticed on the 10th Anniversary DVD that the soundtrack was different. That p---ed me off because I loved the cheesy Scream Queen song that was played in the VHS version when Debbie does her dance. Instead they replaced it with generic elevator sounding music. The Christmas song from the opening credits was also removed. Anyone know why they did this???

I know this is a few years old and I've never seen this movie, but the reason is probably copyright. They didn't have the right to use the original music, or didn't want to pay to be able to use it, something like that. It happens all the time with DVD releases. And it sucks, especially if you remember certain songs from it and come to find out all the songs have been dubbed over.

Takin' out the trash, trailer park style!!

Like Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. On the VHS version Kristen plays a nice sounding instrumental song at the beginning to try to keep herself awake whereas the DVD version plays Dokken's "Into the Fire." No offense to the band but I like the song from the VHS tape so much better and wish I didn't throw it away.
