Samson Torches Grain Fields

In the movie it shows Samson on a horse torching the grain fields of the Philistines. This is inaccurate for it misses the entire point of the true wisdom of the matter. Read the true account here:

Judges 15:4-6 Then Samson went and caught three hundred foxes; and he took torches, turned the foxes tail to tail, and put a torch between each pair of tails. 5 When he had set the torches on fire, he let the foxes go into the standing grain of the Philistines, and burned up both the shocks and the standing grain, as well as the vineyards and olive groves. 6 Then the Philistines said, "Who has done this?" And they answered, "Samson"

No one man could do this yet in the movie they show just that. The tactic behind the foxes is genius and the Hollywood director underestimate the power of the event.

Perhaps it was too difficult to film that scene with the foxes. Not all facts are left out on purpose. This was just a TV movie. The directors have to go with what can be pulled off on screen.
There also may have been animal welfare concerns with handling the foxes - whether it could be done safely without mishandling them.
