I am reading the novel For the Roses and yes this tv version is not like the book, but as Hallmark movie productions go, it was average and the acting was of a good standard. It is worth a watch, on a sunday afternoon, with a nice cup of tea.

I liked the movie, but I've never read the book. Maybe it doesn't deserve an Oscar, but come on it's a Hallmark movie! I thought it was delightful and entertaining, light-hearted is the perfect word to describe it. I think ppl just got on dissing train and just wanted to add more fuel to the fire.
shareI like to just think that the book and movie are completely different altogether... Maybe even just different views of what could have happened to the family.
