About this movie

This movie was Terrible!! It's nothing like the book it's based on at all! They killed Cole and Adam!! Wtf is that? I wouldn't watch that movie again if I was so bored I was clawing at my eyes. I can't believe that. And Harrison was supposed to be like this amazingly hott, tall guy. I swear.

reply

i TOTALLY agree!!! especially killing Adam and Cole.........:(((

reply

They didnt kill Adam... when Mary Rose was talking to her brothers and late ferguson at the end... one of them said something to the effect of "it was you Mary Rose who brought Rose Hill and Adam back to life" And, you only saw one grave at the end, Cole's... if Adam had died, why wouldnt we have seen them at his grave as well? But then again, you never see him fully about and well, but his last scene he seems more healthy.

reply

omg! the fact that they killed ANY of the brothers off in this movie shocks me!...talk about a way to ruin a fab book!
i love Cole's character...lol..well at least they can't make 'come the spring' into a sequel as they ..erm...killed off the main character?!
dumb movie producers

reply

That could be a blessing. I'd hate to see them muck up the sequels.

reply

What in the world makes you think that Adam died. I just watched it and they never said Adam died, I don't even think they implied it. It may not be just like the book, most movie's aren't, you can't just assume he died.

reply

:D:D:D HELL YEAH!

so sad though....i can't really remember what was in the film anymore, but i remember i was dissapointed....because I LOVE the book or books that is...;)

and i'm also glad they made just ONE movie! they can't ruin the other books!!!

reply

OMG...this movie was so bad I wanted to cry. I can't believe they killed Cole and Adam. WTF!?! I hate the way that books turned into movies are so bad. It's fun to think about what these characters would look like and how it would be turned into a movie but when one is actually made it's very disappointing when it doesn't follow the storyline of the book at all. Grr....this movie made me angry. Hallmark so ruined the book. I'll stop venting now.

reply

Well these postings have convinced me to avoid this movie at all cost.

reply

you're lucky one! :)because we've seen that allready...;)

me - want to turn back time now.....and NOT watch the movie!!! ;) :D

reply

LOL...how sad....and the author writes such good books too. Or she used too.

reply

exactly! used to. ;) :)

reply

So Im not the only one that misses the old Julie Garwood? LOL

reply

oh no! you're defenately not the only one! :) her historical books are THE BEST!

reply

Until I read Lynn Kurland's books, Julie Garwood was my favorite author. But when she changed genres, she totally lost me...and my mother. Fortunately, Lynn filled that gap and is even better a storyteller.

reply

uuuu....i'll check her books out then! ;)

my favourite is Jude Deveraux. especially the Velvet series! historical books....;)

reply

i'm a deveraux fan too, i'll read her in any era, as long as it has a montgomery or a taggert! i've read the velvet series more than once.

reply

I love her old books too not into her new writing also same with Jude Deveraux I loved them also especially Knight in Shining Armour I love tales of going back to the past etc. I will try out Lynns books .. I was sadly disappointed with this movie nothing like the books. I don't like Coles death either or the actuall males that stared in this movie they could have picked more better looking males to star in it I didn't especially care for Douglas

I know this is a year late b/.......I really love Lynn Kurland's books! They are fantastic and I gobble up any I can find.

reply

I really liked the movie, the only thing I didn't like was Mary Rose's selfish-ness and stupidity.

reply

Have you read the book? I loved the man who played Adam but Jennifer Garner was terrible as Rose and Casey S. (Fergus) was so NOT Fergus, it wasn't funny. It is obvious, as I believe I said above, that the screenplay was written by a man because a woman would not have screwed it up so badly!

reply

No, I didn't read the book, but since this is a movie board, that's irrelevant.

reply

Not necessarily...I think you should read the book! LOL A great story ruined. But that is your prerogative.

reply

Well it was only Cole who actually died but I did feel like all the characters got killed on screen.
I mean, what was up with how all the brothers turned out so blah! And Harrison? Oh my goodness, he came off like a goober or something. And Mary Rose came off as a twit.
