I remember seeing The Rock in theaters like it was yesterday and it blew me away back then.

Watched it for the first time in a few years the other day. It still holds up remarkably well. The fact that it's almost 20 years old and doesn't feel dated at all is impressive. Great action, suspense, humor. and character development. You wind up getting invested in each major character. Connery and Harris have always been awesome. But it's really refreshing to see a Nicholas Cage performance from back when he could still act. All his recent straight to DVD work has been pretty mediocre.

really aged well, but as a former Mahreen... the urban camouflage slightly dates the movie

This was the first R-rated movie I saw in theaters. I was nine when it came out and went to see it with my mom. I felt like such a badass.

All this stuff.

The Rock, Dragonheart, and all those great movies.

However, if it went fast... I'd like to think it means I've been living a happy life.
