I agree. But the movie was never released in the U.S. so not many knew about it.
My one question is: Where was Lysette Anthony? I watched the whole movie but didn't see any character named "Mrs. Crusoe"...

It`s shown quite often in Germany, and just this evening (I`ve only zapped in several times). I`m looking forward to seeing it completely. I`m surprised as well that there aren`t even 1000 ratings. Dafoe`s book is really fictional. Like Germany`s Karl May, who`s never been to America or the Near East but he wrote famous adventure books, 57 I think, about this area in the 19th century (Winnetou 1-3 p.e.). Hard to believe these stories but entertaining.
