"This Movie Was Great! Pierce Did A Great Job In The Lead."

yeah! Well, uh, I didn't watch it but I trust your judgement, so.. glad you managed to enjoy it.

I did start watching it myself, then: nutter was spared about 3 times, when good man turns around, nutter goes for the killing, sword in hand, he is going for the kill as he would do.
Normal bloke just turns around and merely points his sword forward, the nutter kills himself by running into the sword.

Surely enough, here comes THE USUAL someone who is no doubt a representative of the law and he is shouting: "murderer!"

So the story is now set: good man must now unjustly run like a murderer for the rest of the movie..

Sounds very much like UK year 2007. But I am living it, so I am not sure I need to watch the movie to be reminded of it. In fact I dumped the DVD for glorifyng these nutters who seems to be everywhere, taking over society. LOL, I must be the only one but i'll keep on protecting what once used to be good principles.
I think in the actual social climate, these movies are dangerous and will produce thousands of zombies out there, shouting "murderer, you should have taken your deserved stab in the back"

Look at the poster's date man!
I posted it January the 14th.
Why opposing now, why having useless argument?
It doesn't matter really what you or I think.
This movie was produced by small collective, small studio. Pierce was shooting
James Bond series, and finally his carrer took off. During that time he probably did accepted whatever he could get. He's a versatile, charismatic figure. The movie is rough and undone. It's a shame that this theme wasn't exploited earlier, but I think that When I'm watching it, I choose what to see and what not to see. What I'm seeing when I'm watching it is one slow, rough characterless, small budget, forgotten masterpiece.
When pirates of the caribbean franchise was registered, I bet that the people that were involved in the project didn't really think that it's going to be a major success. But it really was, not just for Johnny Depp's incredible portrayal of J.Sparrow, but because of the score as well. I really hope that this theme will be exploited wisely in the future years. But definately, without any doubt, there's billions of potential money to be made from adventure movies involving tropical islands, pirates, lonely oceans, and mysteries. I enjoyed the Into the Blue, but I really hope that more money will be invested in financing adventure movies like POTC Robinson Crusoe.
aNYWAY
My opinion is that if exploited wisely, with tricky score, good leading character, relatively nice directing, and above all fascinating adventure story involving massive epic scenes, alot of money can be made. With all those confusing thoughts aside, I think that you're all overly critical when it comes to pictures like Robinson Crusoe. I'm sorry but I do not wish to confront anybodys opinion. I like the movie, that's my point of view. I choose to see some things and ignore other. Pierce Brosnan is my inspiration, but that movie wasn't the best he could've get at the time of Tommorow Never Dies.
It doesn't matter
Brosnan is good, the picture is not perfect, the score is satisfying and the directing could've been better.

Not to comment on the quality of the movie on a whole, but the man who shouts "Murderer!" is one of the brothers of the man who just impaled himself on Crusoe's sword (and not some random Sheriff that happened to be around or something).
