the music the feel the vibe of the movie was so incredibly cheesy that's why it did not do so well. with a better director it might have been half decent.

That falling through the window really made me groan, as did the wife finding the gun in the desk and inspecting it. This film reads like a list of cliches to avoid in Filmmaking 101.
