At the beginning of the movie, The Goat is shown having a fatal heart attack. The movie came out in 1996. Every bio I've read about him says he died in 1998. Did he survive the depicted heart attack or is there an error in the years?

shareThe heart attack shown wasn't fatal. Right before it went back in time, at the end of the hospital scene the doctor says we got him back or something like that to show he didn't die.
shareHe is dead now. You can check it out on wikipedia and other places. His heart gave out. The doctors told him he needed a heart transplant but he said he thought he felt ok. Most likely his heart failure was a result of his years of heroin use. As a matter of fact when "Rebound" was replayed on BET they put his death announcement at the end. He is deceased now.
