Prince Felix Yussupov was actually married to the Tsar's niece, Princess Irina of Russia. Thus, Felix was a nephew by marriage to the Tsar and Empress. Felix was the decadent scion of one of Russia's wealthiest and most ancient noble houses. Felix exhibited homosexual tendencies from an early age. It was rumored that Felix carried on a homosexual affair with Irina's cousin, the Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich. The Grand Duke also took part in the conspiracy to assassinate Rasputin.
