This movie NEEDS to come out on DVD, properly in the US. I have only ever seen the region 2 dvd available. I can't believe it hasn't had a proper release yet! I would start one myself if I knew for sure there was alot of interest in it.

shareIt would be easier for you if you did a small investment and bought a region free DVD player wouldn't it? But I agree with you, it's a disgrace that a Golden Globe winning movie isn't released in every DVD region. A real shame.

It's really a shame that this isn't out on DVD. I wonder if it has something to do with the "format change" we're currently in. At the moment, the studios may not want to go through the trouble of releasing this on DVD until they can release it on Blu-Ray
shareI'd buy it. I can't even find one on eBay on VHS at a decent price.$20-30 for a used VHS copy is about the going rate. But then again there are a lot of notable movies of the past which are not yet on DVD.
This definitely needs to be released on DVD! Fantastic film.
shareI wish they'd just show it on hbo a few times per year. Loved this movie and haven't seen it since the nineties... why the hell don't they ever show such a fine piece of work??? And now that we've lost Alan Rickman... just show the damn movie again already!
