Were the rest of the gang gonna turn in Shaker?

I didnt get what was going on when Shaker confronts Liev Schriber and Lili Tomlinson out on the open were there was a ditch.

And what about later when Schriber and the other guy got in the van about to run over Shaker. After Tom raised the reward were they gonna turn in Shaker or were they just bailing out?

They were about to kill the kid and Shaker wanted to keep the kid alive until they got the money.

They realized Shaker had turned on them. They saw him flash his badge and order them to surrender and so that's why Clark--Liev Schreiber's character--went to run him over.

Yeah, I got that...BUT why were they in the van in the3 first place? They didnt realise Shaker had turned on them until he flashed the badge.

I'm a little confused about that myself, but I think one of them said something about them moving the kid to a new location which is why they were packing everything up.

They weren't moving the kid, after the argument between Mullen and Shaker, they were leaving and Clark said the kid wasn't his problem anymore.

I don't think that Maris had decided "to save" Sean. She was fed up with the kid. I believe she finally realized that Mullen would never pay and was leaving, just like the other guys. In fact, she was about to leave before. She shot Shaker because she saw he had turned on them and was killing the guys. The chances for her were narrow, either she was going to get killed by him or turned in by him. Never crossed her mind that he would get the reward and run away with her. When she saw Shaker killing the guys she saw double-cross.

@Vocklabruck. Sorry but I must disagree on her not deciding to save Sean. If that was really the case, she could've smoked him right on the spot in the room they were holding him in and then shoot Shaker after seeing him turn on the other guys.

It wouldn't make much sense for her to go out and shoot Shaker then come back and finish off Sean. I think a final dialogue between Maris and Sean would've made for a great deleted scene (If they couldn't add in the theater version), it would've given us more insight into her thoughts at that moment.

Another thing, Maris was pissed at him for spitting the medicine back at her but if she was super fed up, she could've been more rougher on him than what was actually shown in the film.

In the scene where she feeds him something out of a cup, she gently removes the tape from his mouth instead of just tearing it off in one quick motion.

What made her think that he would kill her and two why did she say that he destroyed her life?

They were digging a grave for Sean at a prearranged location. I believe they realized it was all over, let's kill the kid and get out of here. Sean had briefly recognized Maris by the tattoo on her neck; he had stared at it the night of the party. She couldn't take the chance that he'd remember her.

The guys in the van were planning to split. They might have been prepared to run over Jimmy, but their main thought was to leave before the cops came.

Clark and Maris just wanted to call the whole thing off, kill Sean and cut their losses.

As for your second question they realized Shaker was turning on them and were going to try to run him over.

They were in a panic. Not only was Mullen not going to pay the ransom, but he went public with it, and put a bounty on them so big the whole world would be looking for them. And the one guys brother had been killed during the botched drop. It was only a matter of time before they identified him, and then started looking for his brother. They were going to kill Sean, and bury him at the spot they previously planned, but Shaker talked them out of it. Later I think they were just going to bail, and probably leave Sean in the apartment and let Shaker deal with it. When they saw Shaker approaching, and holding up his badge, they knew he was double crossing them, which means he would have to killed them, so it was him or them. The girl was probably going with the guys, but hadn't gotten in the van yet when Shaker showed up.

I don't think they knew Shaker had turned on them. They were just worried that they would be discovered.
