Ball Cap prop

The ball cap that said USS Clark AD 28 drew my attention becuase I was stationed on the USS Grand Canyon, which was the real AD 28. The Grand Canyon was a destroyer tender that spent much of the 60s home-ported in Newport, RI. There were several other ships named Clark but the AD 28 was the Grand Canyon.

I am glad to see that you wrote this about the Grand Canyon. My older brother served on board her in the early seventies. I was watching the movie today, saw the hull number on the cap and called my brother to tell him about it.
