The Mongolian was such a prick

He walked into the food hall like he owned the place. Then when Maxie Devine stood up to him for trying to push them around he decked him and broke the whole table in half. Plus he killed the Siamese fighter deliberately later on, and shrugged it off. Just was a devilish, nasty brute. Was basically a tougher, giant Mongolian version of Chong Li.

He functioned as the "villain". Martial arts movies like this tend to have a seemingly invincible villain who is terrifying EVEN to the other master martial artists so imagine how scary he would seem to regular people like you or me?

I wonder how he would have done against other fictional martial arts movie characters, this movie took place a long time ago but I mean if you could take the timing out of the equation, face other characters as they were portrayed.

Here is a list of characters I think could take on the Mongolian:

1. Tong Po from Kickboxer: The Mongolian was bigger and stronger much like Hugo Andore from Street Fighter 3 was bigger than Sagat but Tong Po knows how to aim for pressure points and could kick him in the knees or go after some other vulnerable joint.

2. Bruce Lee's character from Enter the Dragon (what a sight that would be bruce taking on a muscle bound giant)

3. Isaah Bone from BLOOD AND BONE. This would be interesting because as big and buffed as Bone was in the Mongolian he would have to face someone even stronger and more massive.

4. BRAKUS from BEST OF THE BEST 2, someone who might be able to rival the Mongolian in raw power?

5. You compared him to CHONG LI. Well could Chong Li have taken him on? He is not as big but his techniques are deadly?

6. Imagine Jet Li's character from FEARLESS. Didn't he take on a giant of comparable size? (though the giant in that movie was just a wrestler not the level of martial artist as the Mongolian).

7. Ivan Drago from Rocky 4? Ok as a boxer he might not be a well rounded enough martial artist but if he can get some lucky punches in....

8. Uri Boyka from UNDISPUTED 2? (version of the character BEFORE knee broken).

9. Tony Jaa (Um Back Thai Warrior). He was small, maybe even smaller than Van Damme but the Mongolian seemed to be vulnerable to smaller fighters if they were very fast.

Well, I'm not really an average joe. I do amateur MMA myself. Ya, he was seemingly invincible anyways. You pitted him against excellent Van Damme film fighters. Here's how I see it going if the Mongolian went against the martial artists you listed, though I don't know 4, 8, or 9.

Chong Li vs. The Mongolian: Chong Li would certainly have some trouble. If Chong Li could get pressure points and hit him hard enough, he would stand a chance. We saw what happened between Chong Li and Jackson, Jackson was just a street fighter but he had lethal punching power.

The Mongolian vs. Tong Po: Many of us on here always ask what a fight between Tong Po and Chong Li would be like. Well, on that Tong Po has the edge in height and reach, but Chong Li has a way better ground game, which I don't think Tong Po would have. Tong Po maybe could take the Mongolian.

Ivan Drago vs. The Mongolian: If Drago could keep him at a distance and deliver blows as hard as he could to his head he possibly, just maybe could beat him. The minute the Mongolian got a hold of Drago it would be over.

Also, keep in mind that Tong Po and Chong Li don't mind using street-fighting techniques i.e. remember Tong Po attempted to kill Kurt with the torch when he began losing, Chong Li tossed powder in Dux's eyes.

I would take number 8 and 9 and put then with Bruce, scrap the rest of the list and add in any number of new hybrid fighters that fight in all styles like Boyka. Also don't forget the guy that beat Boyka and the guy from the Raid is a beast that would just kill everyone and end the tournament. I started out with these types of styles because I was a Van Damm van and Bruce Lee fan and then switched to Wrestling which is my go to in a fight.

Well, he was the villain, sooooooo......
