So what's up with two remakes only two years a part?

Im talking about this one from UK with hindi language, made in 2010:

And the one from this year(2012) also from UK, just with english langauge instead.

I don't get it, why the need for two remakes. Why even the need for one, the original from Refn is perfect as it is.

The hindi one isn't that out of the ordinary since hindi movies almost always remake all sorts of movies, so they can add a musical dance number an what not.

The english one is probably some brit who thought it was good, and decided to just remake because they felt it needed to be brought to a larger audiance, and the brit believed he was the one to do it
