what about the tanner?

i can't believe that in this movie they don't mention not even once the tanner's. what's wrong with this film? why alf didnt go back to his home we he belongs?

reply

The part about the Tanners sucks hella. As for his home, it's because ALF's planet blew up, that's why he came to Earth. I thought EVERYONE knew that!

does anyone know, why the tanners weren't in this? (pay dispute, scheduling conflicts)???

apparently in the movie they did explain where the tanners were.. they were relocated to iceland by the military.. its all there in the trivia section.

thanx so much rainbowbrite56 i didnt remember, and you are right about the tanners. :)

According to Paul Fusco on the commentary, he said that they were originally going to show the tanners in iceland. But decided not to, as this movie is intended to be an Alf only movie. And Alf was the only reason why I wanted to see the TV movie in the first place.

reply

yeah the tanners were under the witness protection thing and moved to Iceland

It was a shame that the Tanners weren't in the film but the film is still brilliant!!! I have only watched 1 hr of it so far but cant wait to watch the rest when I get a moment!

I'd travel to Iceland anyday to see The Beautiful Lynn Tanner AKA Actress Andrea Elson! She was the whole show on Alf! She's was so gorgeous!

Another thing to remember was that this movie was made 6 years after the show was canceled. The original kids were too old to play the parts.

"The Tanners were relocated to Iceland, they don't have a phoneline yet, theyre in Reykjavic."

So the "original kids" can't play the same roles as older characters? Are you saying the characters in the television show haven't aged?

The movie picks up IMMEDIATELY after the end of the final episode of the series, so no time really passed.

Plus, the Tanners seemed to despise "ALF", and were probably glad to get rid of him. After all, the Wright's character was said to have testified about all the fires Alf started, etc - it sounded like he and the family had absolutely nothing good at all to say about him.

There's nothing that states that the movie picks up immediately after the end of the final episode of the series.
If you have something that states that, then cite your source.

there've also been tons of problems with the cast members of the show, neither of them look back with happy memories (or so I heard)
