The scene where the Pastor goes in the church after they deliver the baskets and the cleaning crew are singing. Great scene!

When the pastor is late for ice skating and Denzel and Whitney skate together. Especially when My Heart is Calling is playing. To have a man look at me the way Dudley looked at the preacher's wife. I love that whole scene up to where they're singing amd get in the cab.

That ice skating scene was filmed across the street from an apartment building I had lived in, in Portland, Maine. That week of filming a freak heat wave in the middle of winter came and melted the ice and the snow around it. It lasted so long that the producers had to have artificial ice created and snow blown in. The actors were up to their skates in slush much of the time.

As a side note, I sat 2 tables away from Whitney and Bobby Brown that week at a TGIF. Their area was roped off and it was off to the side but I could see them as plain as day. They were smoking - a lot and drinking - a lot. :) I was on a blind date/setup. Never forgot that night!

Wow, never knew that. How strange.

What an experience! Thanks for the info by the way.

I like the scene where Denzel makes them fall in the snow while delivering christmas baskets, and also the scene where he makes the mother decide to quit smoking. And the scene where Whitney has to come in and sing as Mary... Lots of good scenes in this movie!

A lot of great scenes throughout the film, but honestly, my favorite scene is when the boys are reunited. Nothing is more magical than the friendship shared between children, and seeing them each hugging and rejoicing at being together again tugs at my heart every time I see it.

Wonderful, wonderful movie. :-)

I love the whole movie.

My favorite scenes was when Whitney Houston sings at that club Jazzies. My other favorite part is towards the end when Whitney sing again with the kids and then with the choir.

1. Singing at Jazzies: I Believe in You and Me
2. Skating in the park: My Heart is Calling
3. "Lean"... "Leeaannn" [the part in the beginning with the kids mimicking the choir]
4. The choir singing in the basement with the boiler acting up
5. When Whitney sings: "And, baby, you're my dream come true" and it flashes to Henry working with the homeless. For some reason, that part was just awesome because even though Henry couldn't be there, he was still on her mind. Too sweet.
6. Dudley and tapping the computer. LOL.!

I'm done.

Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee those scenes.

I dunno why but I loved the scene when Julia and the choir were rehearsing (when the boiler was exploding) Iloved it. Seeing Whitney having fun and leading the choir and all that.

Andddd when Beverly and Dudley meet for the first time. I was laughing the whole time right until the scene ended.

*This has been a Queen M Production*

Ahh, the boiler scene is hilarious!!!
Especially when the drummer tosses the drumsticks!
😂

I loved the chemistry between Loretta Divine & Denzel!

"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"

When Hakim comes back, and he and Jeremiah hug. I get a little misty everytime.

"Hustle Man, if you don't get your seagull sellin' a** outta here!"

So many (because I love this movie) but definitely the final church scene where Henry steers away from reading the teleprompter, the momentum of his sermon/speech grows and the energy and love during Whitney singing and the choir joining in. Joe Hamilton's ice melts and even the producer catches the positivity. I love the warmth from that scene, amazing.

Any and all scenes with Jenifer Lewis. She was hilarious in this!

I agree, BUT this movie is filled with wonderful actor/actress's, it's almost hard to pick a favorite part! Whitney could be wearing a 1920 outfit or a 2 piece bikini and open her mouth, and just like magic you'd hear a beautiful sound and see a beautiful woman. She is very missed by me, I do plan to sing with her in Heaven one day! Thank you sweet Jesus!
