I can't even get through it on DVR - Ovation's cut aired is pitch-black!

Yes, me too, also the sound in some places was fuzzy and muffled, and the subtitles didn't work. The sound in the special featurette was abysmal. I was able to make out about 40% of what they were saying throughout.
