The character, Sofia, played by Candace McKenzie, is from either North or South Carolina. From what little information I could glean off the Internet, Candace McKenzie's entrance into the television/movie industry was short-lived, for reason or reasons unknown. Candace McKenzie is active today in her television show, "The DatingDahling", where she dispenses advice to men and women on the do's and don'ts of dating. The show is based out of North Carolina.
Candace McKenzie was a lovely 27 year old in the 1996 Pinocchio's Revenge and still is an atractive woman today. I speculate that she didn't find Hollywood all that she expected and hoped it would be and so after a few roles here and there she dropped out. I noticed in her on-line resume that she lists all her film, television and drama credits, but omits Pinocchio's Revenge, probably due to the nudity. I don't think she should be ashamed of it. That was 12 years ago and she had a body every woman would be proud of having.
