What's up with the trivia section?

I'm noticing a lot of, just off the wall, trivial additions that don't seem relevant added to many of the movie's trivia sections on this site. Like for this movie, "Brent Spinner filmed his role in a day." No kidding? What did he have, one short scene? The extras in the fair scene probably only had a day, too. Are people that hungry to be published?
