Sam Worthington was gonna play Phantom in a remake

Not sure if people would even go for it now.

I love this movie, and Billy Zane, Christy Swanson, the white horse and the snow-white Thai beach (Plus Patrick McGoohan, The Prisoner himself!, Treat Williams and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and James Remar and Carie Tagawamumblemumble) are among the reasons why. Sam Fattington would have been a joke. They could use him as a beach ball on that beach, and that’s it. The guy couldn’t beat up a Spam sandwich.
