A direct sequel was planned in 2008 and then shortly after a reboot was planned. But both projects fell apart unfortunately.

I'm all for it, but any future project has to cover the scope of the character's long and unique history. Phantom would probably work best in a multipart format. But they have to get a canine with more attitude. The one in this movie was just a friendly pooch.

It could run as a double feature with the always-promised, never-delivered Doc Savage remake/reboot.
