Compared to Spiderman, Peanuts and the heroes of Marvel Comics, I remember having huge pleasure in reading The Phantom, and it was very popular at the time so this movie ought to have a sequel!

Didn't it bomb? There's a mini-series reboot coming, but I doubt there'll ever be a sequel.

Best you can hope for is Billy Zane returning for some DEFENDERS OF THE EARTH movie.

The Studio who bankrolled the movie, obviously! ;-) Theatrically this movie was a glorious failure, but apparently did well on home video. Unfortunately for fans of Billy Zane's Phantom, it's a good there won't ever be a sequel. I'm confident there will be another Phantom movie at some point, but it will be a reboot.
