I love this technique when it's used in films: When the music is slow and almost sad, while the scene (usually a party) appears to be happy. For instance, at the end when Tom is at the wedding and the music is Richie Havens "Follow" against the party backdrop ... from that into Sheryl Crow's "I Still Believe" - Wow! Moving!
