A lot of movies that get released in theaters aren't good, so why not this one?

What's with wasting so much space in your post?Well you can call
it "rubbish" but I think it was a very good movie.Of course you
need a sense of humor to appreciate it.It's better than alot of
the "rubbish" that is released to the theaters today.

By the way I think the fact that you wasted so much white space
with your one line post is "rubbish"

Sometimes, when they're not expecting a movie to do so well (either due to not-so-well-known actors, or whatever the case may be) they will release it straight to video. There have been a few other good movies that have been straight to video (but, unfortunately I can't think of any right now). Also, sometimes they release the movie to "test audiences" in only certain areas. Maybe they released it to the wrong area? Or the production company thought it would be better at home. Who knows? It doesn't take anything away from the movie, cuz it was still GREAT!!!

The biggest one that comes to my mind is The Lion King. It was a very successful movie, one of the most successful of all time, and look what happened to Part 2 - it went straight to the video. I know that it wasn't as good as part 1, but it was the sequel to what is still one of the most successful animated films ever. Toy Story I did well, not quite as well as The Lion King, yet look what happens - all of them hit the big screen.

I wondered the same thing. This is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's funny and not in a gross you out kind of way like the copy-cat Road Trip. Paul Rudd's character in this movie is hillarious!!
