I just bought this movie on DVD and I noticed a weird thing with the sound. It only occurs in scenes with the split screen on the phone. Like the person on the left side you can hear perfectly fine, but the right side you can barely hear. Is this how the movie really was, or is my copy just weird? It only happens in those scenes too.

They must have rushed the production of the movie because the scene where they are arguing in a lobby is dubbed off cue. You can easily tell that their mouth is out of sinc with the words.
shareIt could be your surround sound setup is not configured properly. The channel which includes the person on the right side of the split-screen is not being heard properly, so maybe it is on the wrong setting?

I just watched it on cable....I noticed it when Jack is first talking to Lou on one of the split screens...then at Lou's office is happens again....
It does that when it's shown on

Yep, I have it oin VHS and I had the same problem with that scene. I hated the film personally, but my mom bought it on DVD recently and that same scene had the same problem. I always thought it was my VHS copy that was defective... guess not.

I just got a copy of the movie and thought it was the DVD or the player when this happened with the sound. It was my TV. If your TV has only one speaker, the movie sounds like this. I know this thread was a long time ago, but if anyone checks back that's it.
