I loved this movie too. I loved everybody in it. I wish they would make a sequel. George and Michelle were great together.

reply

That would be cool if they made a sequel as good as the first.

I totally agree, the movie´s just loveable...I didn´t like the kids though..but that´s only because I don´t like any kids...anyways - George Clooney was absolutely adorable and extremely cute, Michelle Pfeiffer did a great job as an actress and the whole story was wonderful

I liked the ending in particular - what I think about this last scene, the kissing scene: the moment before they kiss has got more erotic tension in it than most other movies have, were ppl are getting undressed and so on

I wouldn´t want them to do a sequel though - I don´t think they could create a situation between them both which is as good
btw the movie was about one special day, and it would lose all sense if they did a sequel ("second fine day"?)

They could call the sequel "Another Fine Day"!!

reply

I sincerely hope there will be no sequel to this fantastic movie. Sequels make us question the original. And the original is what i could watch a thousand times without getting bored. Of course, it was great for only one reason : GEORGE CLOONEY. Whatta sexy guy!

reply

couldn´t agree more - I mean the script was good but only George Clooney made me love this movie.
I don´t really like kids - and I didn´t like these ones in the movie either (although I like the girl a bit more - couldn´t they find someone else to play Sammy Parker??) but due to the fact that George is in this movie, I watch that movie over and over again and forget about my problem with children
Melanie Parker´s mother, Rita, is absolutely right - George Clooney is adorable and looks even better than he did on the bus (although he can´t really look unattractive, right?)
What a sexy guy indeed...

I think it's a really great mowie. It's funny, and I like what's going on between Phieffer and Clooney. The are a perfect together :P
George Clooney is the greatest actor ;P

Serious, why not!

this is one of my all time favorite movies, it is in the genre of screwball comedies from the 30's which are my favorite. I think it's a shame that George Clooney doesn't do romantic comedies more often because i though he was great in this one & he & Michelle Pfeiffer have great chemistry together. I have this movie on in my kitchen whenever i'm cooking or cleaning because i enjoy watching is often.

This is one of my favorite movies too. I watch it all the time! Everyone else in my house is sick of it, but I still love to watch it. We bought this movie used about five years ago (when I was about 14), and my mom had told me I would probably like it a lot, which I didn't believe her (I have no clue why), but the first time I watched the movie, I fell in love with it! I'm sure it will always stay as one of my favorites.

This movie, for me, is the best romantic film I have ever seen. It has everything that I like; good music, great actors, touching story and fantastic funny moments.

At the time I was in a bit of a george clooney frenzy (due to the fact that he was 3 other films that year, Batman & Robin and the diobolcal Peacemaker) so I was looking forward to it.

I loved the chemistry between Clooney and Pfiefer, either though the kids annoyed the living hell out of me (espeacially the boy - jeez talk about stark for attention).

Overall it is the ONLY romantic film that i enjoy watching time and time again, especially when its raining or i am having a really bad day, this is the perfect movie to watch for me.

To that person who suggested a sequel, I don't want to burst your bubble but romantic sequels just don't work (i.e runaway bride with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts and 'You've got mail' with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan) so i feel that they should leave the film as it was. Memorable and enchanting.

"romantic sequels just don't work"

Not always true. If we're going with the Pretty Women/Runaway Bride concept, then You've Got Mail has to be considered. That was a really good movie- maybe even better than Sleepless in Seattle! And, in the lesser family, 50 First Dates rocked, just like The Wedding Singer.

Yes, I totally agree, it was great!! George Clooney and Michelle Phieffer were excelent!!

reply

I totally agree with you guys!
My last time saw this film was last night cos i have my own Portable DVD player and this DVD, i just watch it again, again and again.
Michelle Pfeiffer is my favorite actress, honestly.
George and Michelle will have great life together apart from the children espescially Sammy Parker!!! But I think the children are cute.
Why can't they make another movie together again? I would LOVE to see them getting married! ;-) Maybe having more children?? Move new house together???? Go away on holiday for the first time together???? Or just the couple???? All these stuff would be great for the next movie!
MICHELLE PFEIFFER AND GEORGE COOLEY!!!! PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER MOVIE!!!!
We all would very appericate it if you do.
Michelle will always be my favorite actress even when she's 50. I couldnt careless.

Thanks.

it's one of my favorite movies!!!! i've seen it like 30 times lol. sometimes more than once in one day lol!! George Clooney is my fave actor and michelle pheiffer is my 2nd (after julia roberts) lol. so that got my attention right away. they have great chemistry and they're both great actors. this movie is hilarious!!! and soooo romantic!! 2 parts that i BEAM WITH A SMILE EACH TIME no matter how many times i've watched:

1. When they meet to switch shifts with the kids and melanie thinks that jack forgot her name. and he leans in and says "i know u'r name mel" and then she can't help but blush and look back lol. im smiling now while im writin it

2. the ending of course

"what would you do if i kissed you right now?"
"You don't wanna kiss me right now."
"what would you do if i did"
"do you wanna kiss me right now?"
"I wouldn't have mentioned it, if i didn't"
"Fine"

=DD
