Great love / hate chemistry between Michelle Pfieffer and George Clooney

SPOILERS.

There's some very believable performances here. They both manage to pull off the love / hate thing.

It all started because Clooney's character was late bringing the child back for Pfieffer's character to take to school along with her own kid, she graciously goes over there to pick up the child when she could have just thought "forget it" and just taken her boy to school, so after all of that both kids miss their field trip. The scene when he was shouting at the boat that there's a couple of kids left behind, we see that Michelle Pfieffer appreciates that, but then he puts her off him instantly when he flirted with that woman on the moped, his social skills are not very good, he asked Michelle Pfieffer a question and when she was about to answer his attention was already towards the woman on the moped which looks rude, you can't ask someone a question and then straight away turn your attention to someone else before they have a chance to answer.

Both are likeable characters, but you can see where Michelle Pfieffer's character is coming from when it comes to her attitude, but at the same time she needs to calm down and loosen up, she's not a relaxed person and that's fine, there's nothing wrong with that, that's her personality, but she still needed to cut George Clooney some slack, they both ended up in that situation of looking after the kids for the day, she has to keep in contact with him for that day, so she may as well try to get along with him, he tried to get along with her, but he was just as bad at times, he was fighting fire with fire instead of taking the high road, so it led to their love / hate.
