I don't have kids, but i know that you have to let go of your dreams once you have them unless you're a multi-millionaire, otherwise the money you get goes into raising them, that's why so many single parents put their dreams on hold to raise their kids.

Sammy's dad went to Sammy's game, that was nice, but it doesn't look like he barely sees his kid, he's touring with Springsteen blah blah blah, isn't your own flesh and blood more important than a musician?!

Sammy's dad is the definition of a selfish parent, he was not stepping up and being a man and raising his son, he needed to get a regular job and still do his musician work at the weekends or something, it wasn't right him leaving his child for Melanie to raise all on her own, what kind of father is this?! smh
